Let's see... where did we leave off?
Pretty sure it was somewhere around
7 MONTHS...
These pictures are definitely getting more difficult to take.
8 months will have to be a two man job!
8 MONTHS!
9 MONTHS!!
Isn't crazy how similar he looks in his 8 month and 9 month photos?
Well, confession, they were taken about 10 minutes apart!
I totally forgot to take 8 months... oops! Slacker Mom!
Hard to believe this little guy is so close to his FIRST birthday! (Tear...)
We had his 9 month well check the other day, and overall, he got a good review.
Here are his stats:
Height , 29.5 inches : 95 th PercentileWeight, 21 lbs. 9 oz. : 75th Percentile (Poor guy lost some lbs. after he got his tubes, which knocked him down a few notches on the growth charts!)Head Circumference, 18.5 : 90th Percentile
Grant has been cleared to eat pretty much everything except for ice cream, honey, nuts, eggs and shellfish. Too bad he won't be able to join in on some good 'ol MD crabs this summer! Mealtimes have become so much fun as he experiences new tastes and textures. I've been trying to get him to get away from the carbs and try more veggies and fruit "finger foods"... I was worried he was going to turn into a Gerber Puff! His favorites these days are green beans, peaches and whole wheat cheese quesadillas.
Trying to teach him some table manners... no feet on the table!
He has been doing well since we got tubes put in, and we go back to the ENT for a follow up in week to ensure his ear infections are gone. Hopefully we will be cleared to be able to go in the water! The pool is calling us!
His first time in the pool "pre-tubes"
Other updates on what's new!
* Grants has 4 teeth now. Two on the top, two on the bottom. They are like razor blades. We have to be careful a finger too close to his mouth!
* Crawling and pulling up on everything. He was finally able to stand up on his own the other day. He is been working on trying to figure out how to get his other leg out from underneath him for quite some time.
* Waves goodbye and can give you a "high five"
* We have heard him say "da da" and few times... Darren could not be more excited to hear his name!
* Gives slobber kisses but sometimes confuses a kiss for a bite while spreading his love.
Here is what we have been up to these days!
We spent Mothers Day on Lake Norman. G really seemed to enjoy his first boat ride!
Visiting the neighborhood playground
Grant has broken in every swing in Charlotte!
Hiked to Angel Falls in the Blue Ridge Mountains
Snacking on the go!
Sushi night out
I love this picture... it's like he's thinking "I can't believe they actually brought me here!"
Grant has discovered animals and adores them.
We took him to Petsmart today just to walk around and see the animals!
Hope you are having a fun summer too!
