Road Trip!

Success! We conquered our first road trip with an infant. It was hard to predict how long it would take us to make it to Louisville to visit with Darren's family, and we were pleasantly suprised that we made it in 8 hours, only making 2 stops! We timed Grant's feedings perfectly to maximize the time on the road.
The return trip look a little longer due to more frequent and longer stops. Overall, Grant did awesome traveling, and really only cried to let us know that he needed something.

We learned quickly how to travel on the go!
Like changing in the car...

Stretching out at rest areas...

We were very busy during our trip. Darren spent the majority of time doing what he loves best... hunting!
G never made it into the woods, but was ready to go in his gear!
Maybe next year!

This was Grant's first time to visit his Cici and Poppy's house and also to meet many of his family and friends.
Darren Lindsey, Grant Lindsay & David Lindsay!

Grant spent at least a quarter of his trip snoozin on his Grandma Cici

He surprised his Great Grandma by showing up at her house in his camo!

Bernheim Forest was beautiful this time of year!
We enjoyed a walk while checking out the leaves.

I was excited to be able to meet up with my college roommates and their adorable little babies (plus, one more on the way!). They were in town from all over the country, Denver, Chicago and Columbus.
We spent the afternoon at Huber farms in Indiana.
Apple Sangria, carmel apples, fried doughnuts, live music... what more could we ask for?

The weather was perfect! Although, wearing a hat is a must these days so G's bald head doesn't get burnt.

So glad we had such a good day, because the night ended on a sad note with the Buckeye's losing. Such a bittersweet weekend!

Our last stop for the weekend was Lynn's Paradise Cafe for a delicious Sunday brunch.
The wait was long, so it left us a little restless in the gift shop and had to play dress up!

Dustin and Brittany had us over for Grant's first "playdate"
Grant had a great time playing with his new friends Izzy, Dakota, Max and Molly Kate (and of course their Mommy's too!)

Molly Kate was putting the moves on Grant. He's not much of a ladies man yet!

Glad to have such a great trip and a good traveling experience under our belt so we can hit the road again soon.
Next up, Charleston!

What a fun trip. Grant's camo trip is the cutest thing ever. We take so many trips now, I'm wondering how many we'll take after the baby!

I love the camo! Too cute. And I can't believe there is a little baby named Molly! (Katherine is my middle name, so I suppose I am a Molly Kate as well!)

BTW, how is Wed. night if I stop by?
