Thanks for my onesie Auntie Al!
It's been a very busy few weeks! Grant is sure keeping us on our toes! It's hard to believe that he has only been here for 6 weeks. He is growing so fast and seems to be doing something new everyday.
He recently had his 4 week "well" visit and the Doctor gave him a very good review. He also continues to top the growth charts...on track for the 90th percentile in pretty much everything.
He is an inch longer, now 22 1/2 inches. Onesies now seem to be a little snug in the diaper area because he is so long!
Grant is an extremely good eater... now weighing in at 11 lb. 11 oz. ! All his newborn clothes have been packed away and we are on the last few days of being able to squeeze him into 0-3months. I've now washed all his 3-6 months and even some 6 months clothes for him! Thanks to hand me downs from his cousin Graham and buddy Carter, we are able to keep him stylish during his growth spurts!
** Weight Update! We had to bring him back to the Doctor for a quick check in at 4 weeks and 10 days... he had already gained over a pound and now weighs 12 pounds, 14 ounces!! He is on track to gain an ounce a day.
I wonder if this had anything to do with my back muscles getting thrown out last week ??? **
All his dark newborn hair is totally gone now. I'm pretty sure I brushed it all away when he first came home from the hospital. For awhile he was totally bald with a patch of hair along the back of his head. Yes, pretty awkward for a little baby! My step-dad said he resembled Terry Bradshaw... not exactly a complement for an infant! Now there is a nice coat of peach fuzz on his head that looks pretty blond. We may have a little toe head in a few more weeks!
First time in his bumbo chair... still a little too weak to hang out in it.
He will be ready to pick it back up again in a few weeks!
Talking to his elephant friend
Poor guy, got stuffed back into the outfit that we brought him home the hospital in.
Notice the collar popping up... I may have a hard time letting go!
